Cooperation in the field of research and development
Reifenhäuser REICOFIL participates in worldwide cooperations to combine the best
technologies with the REICOFIL® technology on the one hand, and to provide these technologies
to our customers and partners for further development.
STFI
Since the 70s, RT and STFI (Saxon Textile Research Institute) have closely cooperated. This cooperation has been intensified by installing a REICOFIL® 4 YYS 1000 laboratory line at STFI. The line is equipped with BiCO capacity, as well as the option of implementing diverse materials and various bonding procedures (thermal bonding and needle punching). Furthermore it is possible to use combination procedures with other technologies available at STFI, such as hydroentanglement or stitch-bonding. Interested parties can contact Mr Hans-Georg Geus
(hans-georg.geus@reicofil.com) at RT and Mr Wolfgang Schilde
(schilde@stfi.de) at
STFT.
Tandec, the Textile and Nonwovens Development Center at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, has a single-beam REICOFIL® 2 spunbonding line with a width of one meter, as well as a BiCo melt blown line with a width of 600 mm. The 1999 model MB line has been upgraded to the latest state of the art in the third quarter of 2004.
