The German machinery manufacturer Reifenhäuser REICOFIL presents the expert visitors to INDEX, which will be held in Geneva from April 15-18, 2008, the new possibilities of conducting high-speed trials at the company's recently built nonwovens technology centre in Troisdorf.
The nonwovens technology centre accommodates a flexible production line specifically designed for technical nonwovens, and a 6-beam line for hygienic and medical products. Trials can be run on both lines at their respective maximum speeds of 400 and 1000 m/min. For the first time, customers and suppliers are offered the opportunity to develop special products, such as ultra light SSS or SSMMMS nonwovens and hydro entangled nonwovens in an in-line production environment.
REICOFIL's CEO Dr. Bernd Kunze, sees savings potential for customers in the newly created testing opportunities: "The high-speed lines installed in our new technology centre will enable customers to develop new products and processes which they could test in the past only on their own lines at high costs in terms of time and money."
Trade visitors to INDEX can get a first impression of the new research and development facilities. The activities at the technology centre will be transferred live by a video stream to the REICOFIL fair stand 2531 in Geneva. Thus, visitors will be able to watch how the line for production of hygienic and medical products installed at the Troisdorf site can be controlled from Geneva: The high automation level of the REICOFIL® technology makes it possible.
In addition to the new technology centre, REICOFIL will present its successful REICOFIL® 4 technology used by nonwovens manufacturers worldwide to produce spunlaid, meltblown and combined products. The high energy efficiency of this technology meets the requirements of the market for sustainable development of products for different applications in hygiene, medicine, filtration and industry.
